Course Description

This course is specially designed for dental hygiene educators. The content will assist the educator in teaching and applying the 2018 AAP Classification System both in the classroom and clinic.

All four categories are discussed in detail and laid out in an easy-to-follow curriculum.

Critical thinking components are incorporated in the form of case studies so the advanced learner can apply the concepts taught for periodontal health, gingival diseases, periodontal disease, mucogingival deformities, and dental implants.

What will you learn?

At the conclusion of this course, the dental hygiene educator will be able to:

  • Apply the 2018 AAP Classification System into a clinical curriculum and individual patient care plan.
