Lisa Mayo graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from the Caruth School of Dental Hygiene at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX and graduated magna cum laude with a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Ohio University. She is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in healthcare administration with Franklin University. She is currently an Adjunct Professor in Dental Hygiene at Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX.
She is authoring a textbook with Elsevier for dental hygiene programs entitled “Power Instrumentation for the Dental Professional”, which will provide the information necessary to teach and operate dental ultrasonics, air polishing devises, and implant maintenance guidelines. The textbook was first released in 2023. Lisa has published over 50 peer-review education courses and articles since 2006 on a broad range of topics for the Canadian Dental Journal, Dental Economics, Penn Well, RDH, Access, and Dimensions of Dental Hygiene. She has also taught over 200 continuing education courses nationally and internationally to medical and dental professionals.
